  1. I just wanted to let you know that I have received the book and it’s beautiful.

My mobility officer will be thrilled with it and will help her immensely when she does cane work with her pupils.

    Thanks again.

  2. It would be great if the children's stories were available online. I know not just children but writers for children and education researchers / disability studies researchers would enjoy them and might find them useful in their teaching of students, future teachers, etc.
These stories might offer a great opportunity to 'compare and contrast' with some of the rubbish so-called educational books that get published for kids with disabilities. These stories all sound like so much fun. [I'm up north and don't get to the British Library!] I especially liked the sound of the visiting lifts adventure.

  3. Thank you so much for the loan of Come on Daisy.

We are often asked by schools for advice on book provision for visually impaired pupils and have always struggled to help them find suitable titles in an accessible format that can be shared and enjoyed in the classroom. We were very impressed by the production quality and attention to detail of the book you sent us and we will certainly be recommending your books to teachers.

  4. Many thanks for prompt service – I wish all the companies with which I deal were so efficient!
I have asked the Greenings to give me some feedback and, providing that they do, will pass it on to you. As I said on the phone, I think the whole idea behind Access2Books is an excellent one.

  6. Hi Eileen

It was great to see you at the meeting at Portsmouth library last week and hear all about Access2books. I mentioned that we had had a positive comment from a visually impaired mother. I don't have it in writing, just verbally from a colleague:

"She was delighted to see them and said they would help her share stories with her children much more effectively, particularly with her youngest son as he is very demanding to see the pictures and as these are oversize he can see them at the same time as she reads the text."

I have also asked out Children's Team if they can suggest any additional titles for you

    Best Wishes

    Jackie

  8. The two little girls at Sutton Bonington have been thrilled with them and I've now had a request from Newark. We can certainly suggest some other popular titles for him if he'd like.
